Bin Stores
The bins in the bin store are for general household rubbish only and it must be bagged up and placed in one of the bins provided – NOT on the floor OR left outside. The bin stores door lock requires a standard FB2 key and each flat has been provided with one. Additional ones can be purchased online or from any locksmith.
It is strictly prohibited to place bulky rubbish (eg furniture, bedding, electrical items) in the bin stores and anyone found responsible will be charged for its removal – That means a cost of £110. Bulky items should either :-
Be taken to the local Household Recycling site or
Contact the Council to arrange collection – Telephone 020 8215 300 Website www.lbbd.gov.uk
The cost of removal for bulky rubbish is around £110 on each occasion. In 2014 this amounted to over £1000. This cost is met by additional service charges on all flat owners.
